We Care About Elderly People
I have great admiration for all the people who give up so much of their time to help us and give us so much happiness. Their work is very much appreciated and I would like to say a big 'thank you!' to each one of them- Eileen, email@example.com
May I say a big thank you for a lovely day! Everything was done well and may I thank all the helpers and drivers who took us …- Mrs. G.M., firstname.lastname@example.org
Grateful thanks go to the many volunteer drivers who kindly call to our homes to collect us and are always happy and willing to do this for us. These outings are the only times that some of us are able to leave our homes and it is good to be in the fresh air.- S.B., email@example.com
I enjoy all outings and look forward to meeting friends and volunteers during these outings. I live alone, so it is an opportunity for me.- Jeff, firstname.lastname@example.org
Who are we..?
Age-Link is a registered charity, established in 1975.
Our aim is to bring comfort to those elderly persons who may be lonely.
This may be because they are housebound, blind or partially blind, wheelchair bound, or living alone without family.
We have sixteen groups covering twenty three areas in Greater London, and we are very keen to extend our activities to other areas in order to help as many as possible.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life. We help approximately 500 disadvantaged pensioners, with the aid of 500 volunteers. Many of these dedicated volunteers have been with Age-Link for more than thirty years.
We also work with the organisations such as Rotary and Lions clubs, Sai Centres, schools, Girl Guide groups and other organisations.
Explained below, are the main activities in which Age-Link regularly engages.
